Just wanted to quickly share a place at Gaya Street called Ming Ge Cafe, if you are looking for fat, succulent, delicious roasted meats. It’s one of our favorite places to eat if we happen to chance around the area (provided we can get a seat!).
What sets this place apart, is that it offers two different sauces for your konlaumein; white or dark tossing-sauce.
If you prefer not to have noodles, they also serve the roasted meats with rice. In the afternoon, Ming Ge also serves Chap Fan(mixed rice dishes), where you can get your 3 sides with your rice.
Ming Ge is a family-run little cafe that is always packed. It is clean, self-serviced, and busy. You may have to stand around for a table.
Business Hours: Daily 7am-2pm
Directions: Ming Ge Cafe is on the same block as Melanian Coffee Shop on Jalan Pantai (next street up from Gaya Street). Two shops down from Tay travel, opposite the watch shop that sells Omega.
