Usually, we use whatever is handy on that day. This includes point-and-shoot cameras, dSLRs, and a variety of phone cameras. Sometimes it may be inconvenient to take an SLR along some of our outings and thus we do with what we have. Also, we prefer to keep very low-key as to not alarm the restaurant operators with professional equipment. We also prefer not to engage in overselling. What you see is what you get with mostly point-and-shoot cameras.
