Hakka Pestle Tea @ Natural Green House

Hakka Pestle Tea @ Natural Green House

Healthy maybe, but universally appealing it is not. The Hakka Pestle Tea, better known as Lei Cha Fan may cause a few flinches with some, but most people will think the chlorophyll-green soup is downright “nasty.” It’s great if you want to undo weeks of fried chicken and greasy noodles, but not if you’re looking for a pleasant meal.

Also, for the simplicity of the ingredients, RM13 is a bit hefty to pay for a few ounces of chopped vegetables. You could recreate the dish really cheaply at home if you can don’t mind putting the time into making the “exorcist-like” juice. But if you’re out and about and don’t want to contaminate your body with lard-laden bad carbs, pop into Natural Greenhouse at Citymall and order this brown rice version of Lei Cha Fan like a champion! It may come in last in a taste contest, but it’ll likely make you feel like a million bucks!
